ADAN MARTINEZ

On February 10, 1999, Adan Martinez was arrested in Joliet, Illinois, for predatory criminal sexual assault on a child. Martinez posted bond that day and fled the state of Illinois. On August 9, 1999, Martinez failed to appear in court.

On November 24, 1999, a federal arrest warrant was issued by the Northern District of Illinois, charging Martinez with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

 

ALBERT JOSEPH VELARDE

Albert Joseph Velarde is wanted for the alleged molestation of a child by force on December 24, 1996, in Oakland, California. The crime took place in the residence of one of Velarde's relatives. The victim later told law enforcement authorities that a similar incident had allegedly occurred with Velarde in July of 1996. It is believed that Velarde fled the Oakland area on December 27, 1996 and has not been seen since. On January 14, 1997, a local arrest warrant was issued in Oakland, California, charging Velarde with child molestation. Then, on February 13, 1997, a no bail felony arrest warrant was issued for Velarde in the Northern District of California, Oakland, California, charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

 

KEVIN DALE WOO

Kevin Dale Woo and his girlfriend, Kristine Sue Westin, are wanted for the drowning death of her newborn baby in Las Vegas, Nevada. On July 13, 1997, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to a local hotel after receiving a report that a woman had given birth in her hotel room. When officers arrived on the scene, they were confronted by Woo. They found Westin and the lifeless body of her newborn infant inside the bathroom. Westin was taken to a nearby hospital, but later fled.

Two days later, Woo and Westin allegedly stole a vehicle from Henderson, Nevada. The vehicle was later recovered in Santa Ana, California. As recently as October of 2001, Westin was known to have been in Costa Mesa, California.

On September 4, 1997, a state arrest warrant was issued by the Las Vegas Justice Court, State of Nevada, charging Woo and Westin with murder in the second degree, child abuse with substantial bodily harm, and possession of cocaine. Woo and Westin were charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution by the United States District Court, District of Nevada, on September 17, 1997. Woo and Westin are also wanted in Nevada on unrelated state charges.

 

KRISTINE SUE WESTIN

Kristine Sue Westin and her boyfriend, Kevin Dale Woo, are wanted for the drowning death of her newborn baby in Las Vegas, Nevada. Westin and Woo are also wanted in Nevada on unrelated state charges.

LEON HENRY SHAW

Leon Henry Shaw and his common-law wife, Victoria Michelle Cravitz, have allegedly been involved in the sexual molestation of children between the ages of six and sixteen since approximately 1989. In February of 1999, Klamath Falls, Oregon law enforcement officials began an investigation of Shaw and Cravitz after two of their children told their teacher that they had allegedly been sexually assaulted by Shaw. A search was made of the family residence, after which it is alleged that both Shaw and Cravitz fled the area. Arrest warrants were issued by the Circuit Court for the State of Oregon, Klamath County, Oregon, for both Shaw and Cravitz on January 7, 2000. Federal arrest warrants charging Shaw and Cravitz with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution were issued by the United States District Court, District of Oregon, on October 12, 2000.

 

VICTORIA MICHELLE CRAVITZ

Victoria Michelle Cravitz and her common-law husband, Leon Henry Shaw, have allegedly been involved in the sexual molestation of children between the ages of six and sixteen since approximately 1989. SAMUEL ARTHUR SILVERMAN

Samuel Arthur Silverman was arrested in Ashland, Oregon, on January 15, 1997, on charges of sexual abuse in the first degree after an investigation revealed that he had sexually abused two 13-year-old boys. Silverman subsequently pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to serve time in jail. On November 8, 2000, Silverman is thought to have boarded a flight bound for San Francisco, California, in order to avoid his confinement. He has not been seen since that time.

 

ROBERT LEE LYONS, JR.

In February of 2000, Robert Lee Lyons, Jr. was indicted by a Nevada Grand Jury for sexual assault, lewdness with a child under the age of 14 years, and unlawful use of a minor in the production of pornography. The crimes allegedly occurred over approximately eight years beginning in the early 1990s, in Washoe County, Nevada. Also in February of 2000, a state arrest warrant was issued charging Lyons with these crimes. Lyons was subsequently charged in a federal arrest warrant with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in March of 2000.
